Is an Annuity a Good Investment?

I get that question a lot, to be honest with you. You know, are annuities an a good investment? I've heard that they're very expensive. And I'll be honest with them, there are some annuities that are, variable annuities, specifically. Variable annuities don't insure against any type of, risk or, with your capital. As they go up, they can go down, which, is not a really a suitable solution for most people entering or in retirement because they can't absorb those losses that they would have when they were still working.
